Nisbets celebrates third London store opening

Opening at 9.30am on Friday the 7th of March, the store at no 538 Fulham Road is ideally located less than a minute from Fulham Broadway; making it easily accessible to local caterers who want equipment immediately. The store is filled with over 3,000 catering products from brands such as Waring, KitchenAid, ChefWorks, Dynamic, Santos and Samsung, as well as own brands including Buffalo, Polar, Athena and Olympia.

Coffee challenge for caterers

The survey of 1,000 consumers who regularly drink coffee at work, found that contract caterers are losing up to a staggering 31% of total sales to the high street. Over half of consumers (53%) leaving the workplace to buy coffee stated ‘quality’ as the primary reason for their decision. The results also showed that consumers expect to pay 50% less for their coffee at work – only £1.41 a cup - than they would on the high street. 41% of consumers, who take coffee into work, also believe that coffee made at home is better quality.

Caterer Elior UK awarded contract at The University of Dundee

Serving staff and students from a total of 62 different countries, Elior will provide hospitality and catering across two sites on campus. Elior is hoping to create a contemporary dining space for customers to relax, work and socialise. Opening this month is The Garland Café, situated in the Wellcome Trust Building.

Caterer Amadeus opens new Cadbury World Café

Designed in just 21 days, the challenge was to create an extension of Cadbury World not a separate entity as the cafe was previously. This was achieved, and the café is now seen as the fifth element of the overall Cadbury World experience. Amadeus was also tasked with improving customer service to bring it more in line with the overall visitor experience and to reflect the new café and menu.

Brita Professional raises £2,500 for Hospitality Action

The water filtration experts donated £1 for every filter exchanged in November 2013, in a bid to raise as much money as possible. The campaign is part of Brita’s ongoing support for Hospitality Action, building on the success of the 2011 filter amnesty, which saw the company raise over £4,000.
