The 2024 School Chef of the Year (SCOTY) competition, which is sponsored by Bisto from Premier Foods, has been launched to find the nation’s best school chef.
The event covered a range of topics, from funding disparities to addressing climate change, free school meal trials, promoting British produce, and using social media better.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the 2024 competition was launched by last year’s winner Raheem Morgan, who previously impressed the judges with his Asian crispy fishcake to take home the trophy.
LACA represent 80% of the UK’s school catering services and are the organisers behind National School Meals Week (6-10th November).
