The popular and informative workshop sessions will also return offering practical advice on key operational issues as well as sharing the impact of new legislation and best practice case studies. There are three, 30-minute workshop sessions taking place on Wednesday 3rd July, starting at 10.30am. The first session will be led by Beverley Baker who has been chair of LACA on two occasions. She will tell attendees why the school food sector is a good place to work and she will also highlight why it is important to focus on staff development.
During the second workshop, headteacher Paul Jordan will discuss a case study about Thames View Infant School. He believes that food is an important catalyst to connect and bring families together. Championing ‘parents as partners’, the school works to help every child and their family achieve their best. Paul is passionate about the benefits of all children receiving a delicious and nutritional school dinner.
The final workshop session is titled ‘LACA Ask the Experts’. It will involve Judith Gregory, LACA National Vice Chair; Brad Pearce, LACA Immediate Past Chair; Derek Wright, LACA Board member and Lee Petar, Menara Advisors will be on the panel discussion.
