Pidy UK appoints new chef and business development manager

Reporting to general manager Robert Whittle, Paul Eason's role will be mainly to raise the profile of Pidy and its products.  This will be achieved through one-to-one activities with wholesalers, cash and carries, exhibitions, recipe development and social networking sites.  Other tasks will include sales support and professional back up for caterers, bakers and industrial customers.

This is one of the key findings in the latest Ones to Watch report, compiled by foodservice consultancy Horizons, identifying the nation’s dining out trends by analysing emerging small-scale eating out brands and operators growing rapidly over the past three years. The focus of many of the latest concepts is on gourmet versions of established food-on-the go favourites, such as burgers and hot dogs as well as upmarket coffee shops, a continued growth in street food and outlets specialising in healthy food.
