London 2012 Games Makers gain recognition of hospitality skills

Almost 3,000 Games Makers – three times more than expected – have completed the Level 2 City & Guilds Award in the Principles of Customer Service.  The qualification was created and funded by McDonald’s, Presenting Partner of the London 2012 Games Maker programme, as part of its support to help prepare and recognise the volunteers with levels of quality training before, during and after the Games.

Situated by the National Marine Aquarium at the Barbican, RockFish Sutton Harbour is Mitch’s largest restaurant opening to date with 120 covers in the restaurant, 50 in the takeaway and a large area outside for another 80.

Subway stores host Helping Hearts Family 5K events

The first of six fundraising runs will take place on Sunday 9th June, where hundreds of families will take part to raise money for Heart Research UK which will be awarded back into their local area through healthy heart grants. The first race will take place in Roundhay Park, Leeds before touring the UK and heading to Belfast, Cardiff, Maidstone, Manchester and Lanarkshire.

The shop, just next to Tottenham Court Road station, features sleek wood, glass, light fixtures and decorative pots inspired by the Joseon dynasty. Dishes on the menu include the chef’s special Udon Noodles with either Chicken or Tofu; traditional Korean Guk made with a rich beef broth and topped with fried kimchee and Korea’s most famous export, the Bibimbap – Beef, Chicken or Tofu, eight different seasoned vegetables (known as namul), plain or mixed grain rice all mixed together with chilli paste.
