North Lanarkshire Council's (NLC) innovative ‘Club 365’ programme is for primary pupils who are entitled to free school meals and aims to reduce weekend and holiday hunger.
Open to primary schoolchildren aged 7-11, the competition required teams to bake either a sweet or savoury dish around the theme of ‘local produce,’ with a look to develop their interest in cooking
The new lunchbox has been designed by primary five pupil, Eliza Grierson (aged 9), and will be available exclusively in The Royal Botanic Garden (Edinburgh).
The Food for Life Served Here Award is an independent award scheme for those serving “local, fresh and honest food cooked by chefs who really care about quality and ingredients".
The idea came about after Fresh Direct took delivery of the already paid for consignment, only to find out the restaurant group they were intended for no longer required the fruit.

Over 140 shortlisted nominees, and those who nominated them, attended the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, hosted by comedian, television personality and star performer Ian Irving.
Now in its fifth year, the prize fund totals more than £10,000, and every nominated KP will receive a gift.
