Accompanying him were HCL chef and Goulston’s manager, David Gower; SCOTY judge Justin Clark; competition working group leader, Carol Harwood; and Stuart Brereton, business development manager for MKN UK.
Having departed the UK last Sunday (24 June), the group arrived in Germany where they were welcomed at Hotel Parkhotel (Wolfenbuettel) with an exquisite dinner.
An early start on Monday ensured they arrived at MKN in time for the two-hour welcome presentation, led by Brereton, before heading off for a four-hour cooking demonstration in the company’s cooking arena.
Another wonderful meal at the five-star Bayrischer hof Hotel followed, as did an early start on Tuesday for the final day of the trip.
MKN accompanied guests to Wilhelm Bracke School where they saw company equipment in use, before finishing with a walking tour through Wolfenbuettel.
