The Grab & Go Challenge invites school chefs to design, cook and serve a nutritious food item that can be eaten ‘on-the-go’ by youngsters.

Now in its 15th year, the competition is aimed at all levels of staff employed in any aspect of education catering capable of producing excellent craft pieces.

The theme for the LACA Main Event is ‘If not now, when?’.

It is coordinating with contract caterers, school food campaigning groups and charities and has already organised a ‘summit’ round table on the issue.
