ISS achieves silver Catering Mark for Richmond schools contract

The catering company has been awarded the Soil Association’s silver Food for Life Catering Mark for providing the schools it serves in the borough with “carefully designed menus, which include a selection of seasonal, local and organic ingredients”. ISS FS Education began its service to 32 schools in Richmond in September 2011. Since then it has been working closely with the Soil Association to ensure the meals served are both healthy and responsibly sourced.

The Sodexo Foundation donates £25,000 to support hospitality learning in Wales

The programme will start in November 2012 at Cawdor Barracks, Brawdy, near Haverfordwest and will be delivered jointly by the Prince’s Trust, Wales, Sodexo Defence, who provide support services at military locations throughout Wales, and food production firm Tillery Valley, part of Sodexo. The Prince’s Trust has invited 15 young people, who are currently unemployed to attend the ‘Get into Hospitality’ programme to develop a range of employability skills and gain hands on work experience relevant to the hospitality industry.
