These awards recognise a young working chef's culinary excellence, testing their knowledge and skills in a series of culinary challenges in a high-pressured environment. On September 6 they will take part in the final exam at the University of West London where they will come under the scrutiny of a panel of expert examiners chaired by renowned chef Chris Galvin. The awards, which are endorsed by The Institute of Customer Service, were presented by Barnardos patron Julie Peasgood during a luncheon on Friday 6 July at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow Hotel.
