Public Sector Catering Awards to raise money for The Clink Charity
Abstract
The Public Sector Catering Awards, which aim to celebrate the work of individuals and teams who have ‘gone above and beyond’ to provide excellence in catering within the sector, will raise funds for The Clink Charity.

The awards aim to highlight the great work of people in schools, hospitals, the care sector, universities, catering colleges, prisons and the military. The Public Sector Catering Awards will take place today on Thursday 24th April 2025 at the London Hilton Metropole.

The Clink Charity aims to change attitudes, transform lives and create second chances for those in prisons. It continues to achieve stellar results and has one of the lowest reoffending rates in the UK.

The original concept of The Clink Restaurant was created by Alberto Crisci MBE, then catering manager at HMP High Down in Surrey. He recognised real potential in the people working in the kitchens and introduced accredited City & Guilds NVQ training.

At the awards ceremony attendees will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for £10 using cash or card. There are four pairs of tickets to be won for a dinner at the Clink Restaurant hosted by newly-appointed chief executive Donna-Marie Edmonds and Vic Laws from AVL Consultancy (date to be confirmed).

Public Sector Catering has unveiled the nominated finalists in 18 of the 19 categories with the Lifetime Achievement Award given out on the night itself, where over 650 industry colleagues will celebrate the winners.

New for 2025, Public Sector Catering created a Prison Catering Award category. The finalists in this category include:

  • Dane Bellas & HMP Kirklevington Grange Catering Team
  • Jamie Dabbs - HMP Drake Hall
  • Scottie Fyffe - HMP Stoke Heath
