Entitled ‘success through people in the service sector,’ the event will feature a series of expert speakers from companies including YO! Sushi, Wembley Stadium, Sodexo and The Restaurant Group, and interactive workshops that will give businesses practical tips and advice on developing their teams.
Attendees will hear stories from businesses that have changed their organisational culture through training, and find out how they can use techniques like coaching, mentoring, and getting their own people to deliver training to improve performance. They will also find out how creating more diverse teams can raise productivity, and get practical advice on how to manage them.
People 1st Training Company experts will be on hand to answer questions and queries, and show employers how to spend smarter – not more – to boost the skills of their team.
Sharon Glancy, managing director of the People 1st Training Company, says: “Investing in your people is actually a fantastic way to reduce staff turnover and increase productivity – our research shows that 60% of people would be less likely to leave their company if they were offered training and development opportunities, while 53% say that training opportunities would make them work even harder.
“When times are hard, cutting training can seem like an easy option to reduce outgoings – but businesses that don’t train are two and a half times more likely to fail than those that do. This event will show employers how to avoid this false economy and make their businesses profitable through their people.”
The event is ideal for company and department heads, or people responsible for training spend within their organisation.
