The company behind it, Nestlé Professional, says it is a touch screen self-serve coffee machine that can deliver up to 400 drink varieties and is designed for use throughout the on-the-go coffee market.
Matt Lane of Nestlé Professional said it was designed to meet growing consumer demand for quality and customised coffee ‘anytime, anywhere’, allowing consumers to customise their drink.
For the health conscious, the nutritional content of each individual drink was available with just a few taps and swipes.
“This marks a completely new era for self-serve coffee. With coffee shop sales set to grow by 16% by 2016, this innovative machine offers customers the opportunity to grab a share of the market and deliver a coffee shop experience, whatever their size or catering capabilities.
“And the technology is staggering. Not only is the touch screen interface designed to engage the consumer and encourage them to interact and customise their drink, but customers can optimise sales through personalised onscreen promotions and videos tailored to their specific business requirements.
“They can also connect to their machine wirelessly to access sales data and manage stock control.”
The patented in-cup mixing system meant daily cleaning was kept to a minimum.
To mark the launch, the company plans a Nescafé Milano Lounge roadshow in September and October, visiting businesses in a mobile ‘lounge’ that offers the opportunity to interact with the machine at first hand, sample the beverage options and speak to the Nestlé Professional team.
