The Food Thinkers webinar invites Henry Dimbleby to reflect on the critical food policy actions the incoming UK Government should take in their first 100-days of office. The talk will be followed by an online Q&A session with the audience.
Dimbleby is co-founder and chair of Chefs in Schools, which aims to train chefs to provide nutritious, delicious and affordable food in schools.
A spokesperson for Sustain said: “The election campaign manifestos have shown only a sprinkling of commitments on food policies related to health, local procurement and farming but lack serious commitments to achieve the much-needed food systems transformation that will dismantle the junk food cycle, address inequalities and achieve nature-friendly food production.
“Bringing insights from developing and struggling to implement the National Food Strategy, Henry will outline the policies the new government can implement immediately and those that should be prioritised over the course of the next five years.”
