As culinary director of Compass Group UK and chef ambassador to the NHS Supply Chain, Nick says he is passionate about the training and development of chefs.
He has taken a key role in developing the NHS Chef’s Academy programme, which invites hospital chefs to take part in free training, live demonstrations and the opportunity to network with peers.
The Chef’s Academy was created after the Hospital Food Review identified a gap in training and resources for NHS chefs. Since its launch over 100 NHS chefs have attended the events, which help them to improve their culinary skills.
NHS Supply Chain won the Training and Apprenticeship Award at the 2022 Public Sector Catering Awards and Nick is also part of the judging panel on the NHS Chef competition.
