Abstract
Workplace catering specialist Catermasters has been named inside the top 100 medium-sized companies on the Sunday Times ‘Best Companies to Work For’ list for 2012.
When the results of an employee survey and organisation questionnaire were collated, Catermasters was awarded a two-star 'Best Companies' accreditation and proudly installed at number 59 on the Sunday Times top 100 'Best Companies to Work For' list.
Joint managing director, Nigel Johnson, said: "This is an extremely proud day for Catermasters and makes all of the hard work, determination and effort during the last 23 years worthwhile.
"It's very satisfying to know that we have been officially recognised as one of only 100 mid-sized companies in the UK that tick all of the right boxes when displaying the four principles of best practice: care, humility, responsibility and discipline."
Johnson added: "We take a real interest in the staff that we employ and treat them as we would like to be treated ourselves. I think the fact that we employ so many people across a wide area of the country and still manage to maintain a strong sense of unity, belonging and value is something that we should be extremely proud of."
Jonathan Austin, founder and CEO of Best Companies, commended Catermasters for its success in 2012. He said: "The 100 Best Companies to Work For list is now in its 12th year and each year we are blown away by the calibre of companies entering.
"As more and more companies are switching on to employee engagement and the benefits it can bring, we are seeing British workplaces becoming better places to work each year. To be named inside the top 100 is truly an achievement to be proud of."
