Abstract
Michelin starred chef Sean Hope, the newly appointed Food Ambassador for Rutland, is to host a two hour cookery demonstration at the East of England Show on 19 June.
Food remains at the heart of the show and the Food Hall will contain many of the region's best food and drink producers, selling their produce. Hope said: "It is a great pleasure and honour to be appointed Food and Drink Ambassador for Rutland. When we acquired and renovated The Olive Branch pub (www.theolivebranchoub.com) in Clipsham in 1999, there were only a handful of places to eat or buy good food, but there is now an exciting buzz about Rutland which, despite it being the smallest county, has led to its growing reputation for gastronomic excellence." The East of England Show, which will celebrate Britosh farming and rural life, is returning to the East of England Showground on 18th, 19th and 20th June. Hope will take centre stage in the food demonstration theatre at the showground at 10am. Hope is also the owner/chef at the Red Lion Inn in Stathern.
