Abstract
Tim Campbell, the first winner of the hit BBC show ‘The Apprentice’ and the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson's Ambassador for Training and Enterprise, will be hosting this year’s Food and Drink Federation Community Partnership Awards (CPA) where he will name the food industry’s first ever ‘Apprentice of the Year’.
Campbell will join guests from across the food chain to celebrate the contribution and dedication of food and drink businesses that strive to make a difference.
This year, the awards include a new category – 'Apprentice of the Year', which reflects the launch of FDF's career's campaign 'Taste Success - A Future in Food' and the sector's focus on skills and developing talent.
FDF's director of communications, Terry Jones said: "We are delighted that Tim will be hosting this year's CPA awards. The popularity of the BBC's hit show 'The Apprentice' shows that not only has it has captured the imagination of its viewers; it has also flagged up the importance of finding and nurturing talent for Britain's businesses.
"Our two new categories – Apprentice of the Year and Good Employer, reflect our focus on the importance of good employment conditions and skills development within our sector. This year's winners are an inspiration to businesses throughout the food chain and show why our sector is a great place to work."
