Staffordshire based Entrust Facilities Service wins the Food for Life Silver Award across all schools it provides for

The Food for Life award is part of the Soil Association’s Catering Mark, which strives to raise standards in school catering by implementing fresh, organic and sustainable food principles. The accolade provides a guarantee that Entrust’s food and menus are fresh, seasonal and free from controversial additives and trans fats.

Entrust Facilities Management provide catering to 288 schools in Staffordshire, cooking up to 45,000 daily meals at primary, middle and high schools. Entrust Facilities are the catering branch of Entrust’s business support to schools, academies and local authorities.

Simon James, Director of Facilities Services at Entrust, said: We take our responsibility to provide fresh and healthy food to children and young people seriously – meals are prepared fresh every day, we buy organic whenever possible and re-invest back into the local farming community, buying in produce, such as fruit, vegetables milk and meat from Staffordshire suppliers.”
