Abstract
For the first time ever, Brits will have the opportunity to vote for their candidate in the Bocuse d'Or contest, through the Bocuse d'Or Team poster competition.
Each of the 24 teams participating in the Bocuse d'Or final in January has been asked to submit a campaign poster to help raise awareness and generate support for the national candidate.
British candidate, Simon Hulstone teamed up with coach, Nick Vadis and commis chef, Jordan Bailey, to create a poster featuring the Union Jack and London landmark, Battersea Power Station, as a backdrop. The poster also includes the carcass of a lamb sourced from official Bocuse d'Or meat sponsor, Scotch Lamb and monkfish from fish sponsor, Seafood Scotland.
Hulstone said: "We wanted to highlight the tension and drama of the contest and drum up patriotism. I'm delighted with the poster, Craig Fraser, the designer, did a fantastic job - making us look like a force to be reckoned with. Now all we need to do is live up to expectations in Lyon!"
Voting for the posters is now open, visit http://www.bocusedor.com/2011/index.php/en/Posters.html to register yours.
