The latest version, which is now available, includes a next generation allergy menu system which caters for special diet menus. The upgrade also delivers ‘innovative and enhanced developments’ including several new features such as stock ordering, stocktaking, staff clocking and staff timesheets.
Dugald Curtis, chief executive of SchoolGrid, said: “The latest version of SchoolGrid is the culmination of extensive research and a substantial financial investment. It’s a game-changing innovation for the sector, and will tremendously benefit schools and pupils, ensuring that no matter what a pupil’s dietary requirement is, they can be assured of a safe lunchtime experience.
“Currently most schools can only run a ‘one-size fits all’ menu which is applied school wide. Our upgraded menu system not only allows each special diet menu to benefit from allergen protection, but temporary menus such as single or multiple school trip and breakfast menus can be added too.”
The menu development is a natural progression from SchoolGrid’s original Online Allergy Protection System for which SchoolGrid was first in market to deliver to schools. The system was shortlisted in 2024 for the LACA & Natasha Allergy Research Foundation Allergy Management Award.
