The caterer, launched in September 2017 as a Local Authority Traded Company by Warwickshire County Council, has used the new platform to tell the story behind the sourcing of its ingredients.
Suppliers included in the 'food story' include UK Food Hall, Total Produce, Yeo Valley, Blakemore Food Service, Lower Hurst Farm and Hopwells Ltd.
The website provides facts about the food on the company’s school menus including how it is free from endangered fish and how all its chicken is Red Tractor Farm assured.
There is a section dedicated to company staff and the ongoing development of skills for kitchen-based colleagues, business support and management teams.
Educaterers provides catering for nursery schools, primary schools, secondary schools, colleges and Special Educational Needs schools.
It is wholly owned by Warwickshire County Council and provides meals to 195 schools in the region.
Terry Tredget, director of catering at Educaterers, said: “We’re delighted to launch our new website which tells not only our story as a company and our dedicated staff teams but also the story of our food, from farm to fork.
“Headteachers, governors and parents all want to be assured that their children’s food is of the highest standard and we hope the website gives a flavour of the innovation that goes into our menu preparation.
“If you are thinking of joining the catering sector or moving roles, I’d encourage you to look at our staff pages and recruitment links.”
