Restaurant Associates acquires catering business Grazing
Abstract
Restaurant Associates, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, has acquired the delivered-in workplace and venue catering specialists Grazing.

Founded in 2007 by chief executive Sam Hurst, Grazing has grown from one café to a corporate catering business offering delivered-in meeting, office and contract catering services to London’s business and industry sector as well as event catering services.

In the last year, the company’s delivered-in model has seen more than 30% growth, with key wins across London. Dishes are prepared at its Bermondsey kitchen hub and 90% of deliveries are made on zero emission cargo bikes.

The company recently invested in an extension to its central kitchen operations, increasing its capacity by more than 50%. The Grazing team will continue to be headed up by Hurst, supported by chef director Sebastian Price and the existing management team.

The company will benefit from Restaurant Associates' extensive experience and expertise in sustainable practices, further bolstering its commitment to environmental stewardship.
