Record breaking year for Brakes Group at Excellence in Food & Drink Awards

Abstract
The Brakes Group scooped a staggering seven gold accolades at this year's Excellence in Food and Drinks Awards 2010.
Taking place on Friday 26th November at the Dorchester Hotel in London, Brakes Group won awards for the Bakery; Dessert & Pudding; Fair Trade, Organic and Ethical Product; Centre of Plate; Innovation Award; Meat, Game and Poultry; and Kids Snack and Drink categories. Products from across the Brakes Group of specialist businesses were recognised including Creative Foods – producer of recipe dishes – which won two gold awards, La Boulangerie – bread and patisserie specialist which won an award, and Brakes own brand whose scooped four gold awards. In addition, Brakes Group had products shortlisted in nine out of 20 categories overall. James Armitage, Brakes marketing director, commented: "We are very proud to have won so many awards. It is the most we have ever received. Every year we strive to develop new and exciting products for our customers and these accolades are testament to the hard work and commitment of everyone involved."
