It is the second year in succession that the maker of the Mr Kipling, Ambrosia and Angel Delight brands has won the prize.
The award is voted for by FWD members such as Brakes, Bidfood, Bestway and Booker, and recognises contribution to wholesale channel caterers.
Premier Foods's channel director for foodservice, wholesale, catering and B2B, James Porter, said: “We’re extremely proud to have won this award for a second year in a row. We recognise that this is a strong category with tough competition and so we are delighted to be able to take home the gold medal again.

Premier Foods was one of a number of brands and wholesalers to pick up awards at the event held on last weeks (30 November).
Tetley picked up the Gold Medal award for Foodservice Brand while Unilever won both the Gold Medal Product Innovation (Foodservice) and Gold Medal Process Innovation awards.
Burnley-based food and drink supplier, Birchall Foodservice, collected the Gold Medal Wholesale Service to Caterers ahead of Bidfood and Booker
JJ Food Service won the innovation award for its fingerprint ID authentification, and a one click pay option for customers.
The award ceremony was held in the wake of the collapse of wholesaler Palmer & Harvey which was acknowledged by FWD chairman Andrew Selley.
“Many of us in this room are competitors in our working day but when events like this occur we come together through FWD as friends and colleagues across our industry," he said.
“I know you will all join me in wishing our friends and colleagues from Palmer and Harvey the very best as they face an uncertain future and some difficult times ahead.
“A lot of very good and experienced people worked in that business and we as a sector do not want to lose them.”
