Abstract
Oliver Harvey, the manufacturer of British chefswear, has announced it is sponsoring this year’s WorldSkills 2011 event at the Excel Centre from the 5th – 8th October.
WorldSkills is a global competition where young people from across the world compete to become the best of the best and it is the largest international vocational skills competition in the world.
Oliver Harvey commercial director, Rick Shonfeld said: "Oliver Harvey's target audience is perfectly suited to the profile of the young, up and coming chefs who will be taking part in the event. We are therefore delighted to be partnering what we believe to be one of the premier events for young people who have a passion for cooking."
The competition takes place every two years and WorldSkills London 2011 will be the 41st competition. Competitors are young people aged between 18 and 22 who excel at their chosen skill. Member countries and the UK, hold regional heats before selecting their national squads.
There will be 150,000 visitors attending the four day event.
