Abstract
Energy company npower has launched a new online resource for both homeowners and SMEs, providing blogs and information on saving money, energy efficiency and comparing gas and electricity prices.

The npower blog will feature up-to-date news and information, staff profiles, guides, how-to videos and links to npower’s existing social media channels including its @npowerhq twitter page, npower Energy YouTube Channel, and Flickr stream.

Emily Ward, social marketing manager at npower, said the resource should help people determine the right deal for them: “The development of the blog is in response to a growing number of our customers searching the web and using social media channels – particularly twitter – for information both about us, and how they can manage own energy use.

"We know there is a lot of information out there, which can be confusing, so the new npower blog is designed to be a one-stop resource for both domestic energy consumers and SMEs.

“The blog brings all our social channels together and, as well as tips on important areas such as energy efficiency, the blog will contain up-to-date insight and opinion on important developments and legislation that will have an impact on both consumers and SMEs, such as the Green Deal, as well as npower campaigns and initiatives.

“It is also designed to be interactive, enabling consumers to enter into the energy debate, share content, and let us know the kind of content they want to see.  We believe the blog will be an important channel for how we communicate with our customers now and in the future.”
