Northern Foods describe financial climate as 'fantastic'

Abstract
Despite news announcing the loss of 730 jobs after the contract with Marks & Spencer collapsed, Northern Foods has posted a rise in pre-tax profits of 32%, calling the current climate 'fantastic'.
The financial statement referred to the 52 weeks ending 29th March 2008.
