Abstract
A new business development chef has been appointed at Unilever Food Solutions.
Mike Carter will join the culinary services team and brings with him a "wealth of culinary and commercial expertise". He found inspiration in the kitchen at the age of 11 helping out in his family's restaurant, and then went on to study at Guildford College and then trained with The Savoy Group. He has also held various operational roles from head chef to catering manager, and has spent the last 10 years working in recipe and product development for Master Foods, Nestle and Compass. He commented on his new role: "I've always held Unilever Food Solutions in high regard and I'm looking forward to working with the versatile range of ingredients. "I'm particularly impressed with the new Pureed Herbs and Spices – they deliver real innovation and taste, with the potential to change the way herbs and spices are currently being used in kitchens."
