Lyons Seafoods, the company described as “Europe's leading processor of king prawns†has appointed Craig Walker as new managing director.
Walker joins from Nutricia where he held the position of general manager, France. He brings more than 20 years of management experience to the role having held positions at food companies including Groupe Danone and Jacob's Bakery. Chief executive of Alfresca UK, Ole Norgaard said: "Craig is a strong business leader with outstanding corporate and operational management skills. "His wealth of management experience in food businesses both in the UK and France will add a new dynamic to Lyons Seafoods. Craig will play a central role in ensuring our strategic goals are met." Walker said: "The seafood sector is a dynamic category and it's an exciting time to be joining Lyons Seafoods. "I look forward to working with the team to ensure Lyons Seafoods continues to lead the sustainable and ethical sourcing agenda, as well as further drive our 'Freshly Cooked' range, and to help the business further meet the needs of our customers."
