Abstract
Independent school meals service, Local Food Links (LFL), has become a south west-area finalist in the Federation for Small Businesses’ Scale Up Awards.
Chief executive Caroline Morgan said: “This is fantastic news and a wonderful start to the New Year. Our Weymouth expansion has required a tremendous amount of hard work by the entire team. We are so pleased that that this has been recognised and that we have been shortlisted for this award. I would like to thank all our staff and schools for their ongoing support.”
The caterer supplies 3,700 meals a day to 50 schools in Dorset, Somerset and Devon.
LFL predicts that it will serve 1,534,000 meals in the 2018-19 academic year, an increase of 500,000 meals.
