LACA unveils programme & bookings for Spring Seminar
Abstract
LACA, the school food people, has informed members the Spring Seminar will take place on Friday 4th April 2025 at Doubletree by Hilton in Stratford-Upon-Avon.

The event will kick-off with Neil Porter welcoming attendees and sharing the aims of the day. LACA chair Judith Gregory will then give attendees an update to LACA’s funding campaign.

LACA are campaigning for fairer school meals funding, which varies significantly across the UK. Scotland receive £3.30, Wales get £3.20, in Northern Ireland it is £2.60 and England lags behind with £2.58.

The Spring Seminar programme also includes:

  • 10.15: Political Update. Olivia Harris from Menara Advisers
  • 10.30: Marketing and Membership Review. Beverley Baker, Amanda Whatley & Luke Consiglio
  • 11.00: Social Media. Update Gail Walker from Open Door PR
  • 11.15: Coffee Break and Brunch
  • 11.45: Breakfast Pilots Session
  • 12.05: Main Event Update. Andrew Archer, managing director of Dewberry Redpoint
  • 12.15: Case Study One – Our Positive Social and Sustainable Impact. Alex Hall from Impact Food Group
  • 12.40: Case Study Two – Balancing Nutrition and Budget with Increasing Labour Costs in School Feeding. John Want from HCL
  • 13.10: Closing remarks & finish

Bookings are now open. Day delegate places for full members cost £40, with an option to add dinner and accommodation on Thursday 3rd April. Attendees should arrive at 9.00am for a 9.30am start.
