LACA encourages education caterers to register for School Food Show
Abstract
School caterers, managers and contract caterers can attend the School Food Show (8-9th July) free of charge, which is running alongside the LACA Main Event at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

With caterers facing a greater challenge than ever before to deliver the right meal at the right price, the School Food Show will provide visitors with the ideal environment in which to meet suppliers and manufacturers who can offer products and solutions to help them.

The School Food Show is an unrivalled opportunity to source new ideas and innovations and compare a range of suppliers under one roof. Over 160 exhibitors will showcase food and beverages, equipment, systems and services.

The School Food Show is the only the national event dedicated to the school food sector. Key features of the School Food Show include:

  • LACA School Chef of the Year (SCOTY) final, sponsored by Bisto from Premier Foods: Visitors will be able to watch the live final taking place at the Main Event.
  • LACA Grab ‘N’ Go Challenge, sponsored by SchoolGrid: The finalists for the LACA Grab & Go Challenge will battle it out live on Tuesday 8th July cooking their grab & go item in a competition environment to decide the winner.
  • Finishing Touches competition in association with the Craft Guild of Chefs: Entries will be displayed on Wednesday 9th July with winners announced later that afternoon.
  • LACA Live: Cookery demonstrations will take place on 8-9th July including the winner of the Grab ‘N’ Go Challenge cooking their winning recipe.
  • Workshops: The informative sessions will return offering practical advice on key operational issues such as the impact of new legislation and best practice case studies.
