The community event, which is run by development trust and social enterprise CSCB saw volunteers from Kudos Delivered, the London School of Economics and the local area work together to serve up a three course Christmas dinner to guests.
Eva Garrett, general manager at Kudos Delivered, said: “We all are very hands-on here at Kudos Delivered and when it comes to service, we don’t mind rolling up our sleeves to support a good cause! We are extremely thrilled that we can help one of our most valuable clients in such an amazing initiative.”
The festive menu included a starter of butternut squash soup followed by a traditional turkey roast dinner with stuffing, Cumberland pigs in blankets, roast potatoes and sautéed vegetables for the main course, finished off with sticky toffee and banana pudding, hot drinks and mince pies.
All profits from the Coin Street commercial activities are invested back into the local community as part of Coin Street Community Builders’ social enterprise principles.
