Abstract
A new range of bouillons, liquids, pastes and powders under the Chef’s Pass brand has been unveiled by Kerry Foodservice.

The company says Chef’s Pass is an exclusive foodservice range “with something for every channel”, which took just one year to develop at the company’s €100m Global Technology & Innovation Centre in Naas, Ireland, that officially opened last October.

“It was the right time to create a new brand and a new range for this market,” says Florent Dymala, brand manager for Chef’s Pass, who says the product was developed with taste as the primary objective. “That’s what a chef will do when he first tries a product, and that’s what we’ve concentrated on,” he comments. “In our research, we also concentrated on saving time in busy kitchens.”

Kerry Foodservice says since its launch there has been “huge engagement through digital marketing” – the Chef’s Pass app, Twitter and Facebook – and there will be a further digital marketing campaign, plus sampling. If it doesn’t deliver, the company also offers a money back guarantee.

The company expects the trend for smoky flavours to gain momentum over the next 10 years across the eating out sector. It says the new range will eradicate the need for specialist training and equipment required to achieve smoky flavours.
