Coffee@Work encourages workplaces of all shapes and sizes to be a part of UK Coffee Week by inviting employees to make a one-off donation for their hot beverages made at work during the week of 22-28 April 2013.
The initiative raises money for Project Waterfall, which supports some of the poorest and most marginalised communities in Tanzania with access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.
The sponsorship reflects the ongoing sustainability focus of Kenco Professional.
As the first mainstream coffee brand to source 100% of its coffee beans from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms, Kenco Professional has projects based in several countries which contribute to the Common Code of the Coffee Community project, seeking to define a baseline for sustainability in the coffee sector across the world.
Jodie Lane marketing manager for Kenco Professional, said: “Coffee@Work is a great fit with our approach to sustainability. We’re proud to support such an important initiative and be a part of a campaign that aims to transform lives for the people who need it the most.”
The Allegra Foundation Chairman Jeffrey Young added: "Coffee@Work is back this year once again giving workplaces the opportunity to participate in UK Coffee Week and provide clean drinking water to the poorest communities in coffee-producing countries. We are thrilled that Kenco Professional will be sponsoring the initiative."
