Jockey Club Catering was the big winner at the annual National Racecourse Catering Awards, held at Newmarket Racecourse.

The catering company, who provide services for the Jockey Club’s 15 racecourses, won five awards and two Certificates of Merit at the ceremony.

Nick Campbell, Chief Operations Officer at Jockey Club Catering, said: “A huge congratulations to all our teams at each racecourse. These awards underline the importance of food and drink at sports events as well as our commitment to ensuring guests are provided with a unique experience every time.”

Award wins for the Jockey Club Catering team included; the People’s Choice award for Cheltenham Racecourse; the Development and Education award for Epsom Downs Racecourse; the Best Bar award for the newly refurbished Moët & Chandon Champagne Bar at Aintree Racecourse, and the Best Wine List went to Epsom Downs Racecourse for their selection at Chez Roux.

Jockey Club Catering's supplier, Molson Coors Brewing Co, was also acknowledged in the Best Drinks Supplier category.

Certificates of Merit were also presented to Nottingham Racecourse for its owners and trainer’s bar, and Sandown Park Racecourse for its Legends package in the Best Casual Dining category.

Jockey Club Catering is a joint venture between The Jockey Club, the largest commercial group in British racing, and Compass Group UK & Ireland. The joint venture was launched in 2009 with the aim of providing premium quality catering at all 15 of The Jockey Club racecourses. In 2013, the partnership was extended until at least 2025.
