16th Jun 2009 - 00:00
Abstract
Flora, part of Unilever, has launched a new online heart-age tool which aims to educate and motivate people about their health and keeping their hearts healthy.
The Heart Age Tool is interactive and designed to increase awareness about the risk factors that affect a healthy heart. Based on established heart health factors, it enables users to find out their 'Heart Age' in comparison to their chronological age. The tool now offers users the opportunity to follow a twelve-week tailored diet and lifestyle plan, designed to help them maintain their heart health. Unilever has set the Flora team a goal to motivate 100 million people worldwide to take the Heart Age Test and lower elevated Heart Ages, by three years on average, by 2020. Clare Logan, Flora brand manager, said: "Caterers can help us raise awareness of the need for good heart health by offering Flora spread as a heart healthy alternative to butter. Containing a good blend of healthy seed oils, high in heart healthy omega-3 and omega-6, Flora Original is 78% lower in saturated fats than butter." Visit www.floraheartage.com for more information and to use the Heart Age Tool.
