Abstract
The organisers of the Hotelympia 10k race are urging runners from across the hospitality industry to sign up and take part in the opening event.
The race, which caters for runners of all abilities and raises much needed funds for hospitality charity Springboard, will take place at 9.30am on Sunday February 28th, 2010 at London's ExCel, Docklands. New to the event is the chip timing device which has been put in place to enable fast and accurate race timings for runners as well as a warm up aerobics session at the start to get those muscles moving before the off. In addition, the Novotel Hotel will host a Barilla and Novotel sponsored Pasta Party which will take place from 8.00pm. The proceeds of the event will go to Springboard, a charity work to help young unemployed and disadvantaged people improve their prospects in life and into worthwhile employment in hospitality, leisure and tourism http://hotelympia10k.com/pasta-party/ The Craft Guild of Chefs will also be providing a Post Race Brunch which will be available to runners and their families. Those interested in signing up must visit www.Hotelympia10k.com or call the Race Office for more information on 01242 282000. The Hotelympia event runs from 28 February to 4 March.
