Abstract
A team of hospitality industry professionals recently took part in a three-day challenge to cycle from London to Paris in aid of Hospitality Action.

The 21 cyclists set off on 29 June and included Alan Murchison of BBC 2’s The Great British Menu, Hayden Groves of BaxterStorey and Michael Cross of G&G Goodfellows and winner of the HA Heroes Award in 2011.

With the aim of raising at least £24,000 for those in need in the hospitality industry, the team set off from Greenwich Park in London and headed to Dover before crossing over the channel to start their journey to Paris, covering over 300 miles in three days.

Team member Dominic O’Nions said: “We set off from London as individuals and arrived in Paris as a team. It was a pretty epic journey and achievement, with no rider left behind.”

Chief executive of Hospitality Action, Penny Moore added: “It never fails to amaze me the commitment and dedication of people who get involved to help us raise funds. On behalf of all our beneficiaries I would like to thank each and every rider on their amazing achievement. Our industry is proud of you!”
