The fifteen foodservice companies submitted initiatives which demonstrated use of the ‘Triple Bottom Line’ theory, which measures an organisation not only by its profit, but also its impact on people and the planet.
Pret A Manger, the National Trust, Tate & Lyle, Aramark, BaxterStorey, Ch&Co, Elior, Sodexo UK, The Casual Dining Group, Kuehne+Nagle & The Spirit Pub Group, Partners in Purchasing and four universities complete the shortlist.
Nick Fenwicke-Clennell, CEO of Footprint, which organised the awards, said: “Sustainability should be at the very heart of every supply chain decision made by any business which takes its responsibility to the consumer seriously. There are few companies left which do not recognise that ethics in procurement is no longer a nice-to-have, but a key to success and growth, and as a result an incredibly astute buying community is emerging.
“These organisations represent the way forward and deserve to be recognised for the tremendous work they are doing. That is what TBL15 is about; celebrating those paving the way. We wish them all the very best of luck.”
The winners will be announced at a dinner on the 25th November 2015 at London’s Hyatt Regency - The Churchill Hotel.
