Express vending has been taken over by competitor Selecta Group B.V.
Abstract
Express Vending has been taken over by competitor company Selecta Group B.V.

The acquisition of Express vending, which was the leading UK supplier of premium refreshment solutions, confirmed Selecta’s position as a leading European provider of unattended self-service coffee and convenience food offerings.

Brian Donne, founder and CEO of Express Vending said: “Express Vending will operate as a standalone business unit while continuing to develop new and innovative product offerings.”

The privately owned, London-based supplier of vending machines was founded in 1992 and supplied London and it’s neighboring counties, generating sales of more than 39million in the 12 months previous to July 2018.

It has a track record of double-digit profitable sales growth and innovation. At the forefront of micro market design in the UK and its Express HUB with its open plan refreshment area, extensive product range and self scan kiosks, it will complement Selecta’s Foodie’s micro market offering. Selecta intends to build upon Express Vending’s competitive strengths to continue to help it grow.

Cavendish Corporate Finance advised the shareholders of Express Vending on the sale which Donne said it 'ultimately achieved a successful outcome for all shareholders'.
