Eat Out & Lunch Business to merge
Abstract
The UK foodservice trade media brands Eat Out and Lunch Business are to merge as Dewberry Redpoint looks to further develop its digital and app portfolio.

The Eat Out media brand has been in existence for over 15 years and will continue to be the lead product in the new strategy. Lunch Business will continue as a branded section in the reformatted digital magazine covering the 'grab and go' market.

Editor, Maria Bracken said: "The merging of the two brands reflects the way the informal eating out market has developed over the last few years. The differentiation between sites that do breakfast, lunch and dinner solutions in high footfall areas has narrowed and most now deliver all day solutions.

"Merging the brands allows us to deliver a media product that covers all the information needs of the people who own and run these establishments."

Andrew Archer, Publishing Director added: "The new strategy means we can merge circulations for the products taking the new digital magazine to over 130,000 potential readers; offering advertisers unrivalled reach and value for money.

"It also allows us to do two significant strategic developments; firstly trebling our video content, which is increasingly in demand, and secondly developing the next generation of the digital magazine app which we will launch later this year.

"We are all very excited about bringing these two exceptional brands together to give us a platform to develop new products, particularly digital media solutions."

The brand merger will begin immediately with the digital magazines, will include the websites and e-newsletters from July 1st 2016 and finally take in the annual awards, which will now happen in the autumn. Details of the new, single-format awards will be released shortly.
