Abstract
DBC Foodservice has reappointed Andrew Ramsden as its chief executive officer with immediate effect, as the company embarks on its next stage of development.
Ramsden was CEO for the company between 2007 and 2010. During his time he was responsible for DBC's significant growth in profitability.
Chris Horne, managing director of DBC Foodservice, said: "We are delighted to have Andrew Ramsden back in the business at such an important time. I know Andrew very well having worked alongside him between 2007 and 2010 and am very pleased to have him back both as a colleague and as a sounding board for the business. We are looking forward to moving DBC into the future as it continues to provide its first-class service to customers."
Ramsden commented on his reappointment: "I am very excited to be part of the senior management team at DBC once again, having enjoyed my three-year role within the company before. DBC has made a number of senior hires to its board in the last year, most recently with Simon King as its new buying and marketing director in February. "I am very much looking forward to working alongside the board as the company continues to develop its strong customer base and lead the largest British-owned foodservice company into a highly profitable future."
