Abstract
DBC Foodservice has appointed Rob McFarlane as the commercial director to help lead its trading division and develop a fresh meat offering for the foodservice sector.
McFarlane joins DBC from Brakes, where he was the director of prime meats and in 10 years helped to drive sales up from £7m to £80m per annum.
Previous to this, he worked for meat supplier Donald Russell, Royal Warrant Holder for the supply of meat and poultry to HM The Queen.
Chris Horne, managing director of DBC Foodservice, said: "The appointment of Rob McFarlane heralds a new era for DBC's meat offering. Rob's contribution will add new weight and energy to our foodservice range and enable all our customers to share in the consistent value for money, variety and quality DBC is known for."
