The Craft Guild of Chefs announces finalists for its Graduate Awards 2012

Abstract
Twelve talented chefs have made it through to the final of the 2012 Craft Guild of Chefs Graduate Awards examinations following the regional cooking tests held simultaneously at the University College Birmingham and Westminster Kingsway College on July 18.

These awards recognise a young working chef's culinary excellence, testing their knowledge and skills in a series of culinary challenges in a high-pressured environment.

On September 6 they will take part in the final exam at the University of West London where they will come under the scrutiny of a panel of expert examiners chaired by renowned chef Chris Galvin.

The finalists are:

Liam Griggs, The Royal Household

Jordan Kerridge, Westminster Kingsway College
Ben Murphy, Koffmann's at the Berkeley Hotel
Harry Peak, Brooklands Hotel
Rebecca Reeves, House of Commons
Louise Roberts, Lexington Catering
Claire Willett, The Waterfront Restaurant, Wyboston Lakes

This year's successful graduates will be announced at a glittering awards luncheon at London's Royal Garden Hotel on September 18.
