1st Apr 2011 - 00:00
Abstract
Talkington Bates has been awarded the contract catering business by a City of London-based firm of Chartered Accountants.
Paul Bates, Talkington Bates group managing director, said the deal with Buzzacott LLP – which has more than 200 staff working with 24 partners in specialist teams at its Wood Street offices – presents a great opportunity for the company to showcase its fine dining expertise and make inroads into the City. He added: "We are delighted to have secured this piece of new business, which once again highlights the quality of our offering and the excellence of our people. We look forward to developing a long and mutually beneficial working relationship with Buzzacott in the years ahead." David Fardell, a partner at Buzzacott said: "Talkington Bates won the contract after a full tender process because it is the right fit, with a quality-driven, flexible and innovative food offering. "The Talkington Bates team has been doing a brilliant job since taking on the contract last month and I am sure they will keep up the great work." As part of the new agreement, the caterer will have a member of its team on-site permanently and its group development chef will visit for regular partners' lunches and the company's canapé receptions. Talkington Bates won a number of catering industry awards during 2010 including the Association of Catering Excellence (ACE) Ready Steady Cook Team Challenge and was also named Contract Caterer of the Year 2010 by lunch!, one of the UK's premier casual dining industry events.
