Contract caterer Elior takes control in the kitchen at Waterstone's new eateries

25th Aug 2010 - 00:00
Abstract
Elior UK has announced that it will be solely responsible for all of the catering at Waterstone's new restaurant and bar in its Deansgate branch, and a new café in Cambridge's Sydney Street branch.
Launching on 31st August, both venues will be known as '2nd View', and will offer free wi-fi. The menus for both venues have been created by Elior's team of professional chefs and will have a strong emphasis on provenance. All dishes will be prepared on site using only the finest ingredients. Cambridge 2nd View will have 'Best of British' bacon rolls at breakfast time, deli-style sandwiches, soups and stews at lunchtime and afternoon coffee and cakes in Cambridge 2nd View. Meanwhile at Deansgate, 2nd View will cater for both those who just want a bite to eat, a coffee or a cocktail in informal surroundings, as well as those wanting a full sit down meal in a more formal dining area. The extensive menu will feature mezze, seafood, charcuterie and antipasto sharing boards, as well as traditional favourites such as fish and chips and 100% beef burgers. Michael Audis, chief executive officer, Elior UK and Ireland said: "Both 2nd Views offer an exciting addition to Manchester and Cambridge's dining scene. "We've based the concept on 5th View in Waterstone's Piccadilly, London, which launched in February, as feedback from there has been phenomenal; we are sure the people of Manchester and Cambridge will feel the same."
