Cheese & Onion voted favourite crisp flavour

18th Sep 2009 - 00:00
Abstract
Almost half of UK adults have voted cheese and onion as their favourite crisp flavour, according to a survey by Kettle Chips.
Other findings of the survey revealed that 49% of males prefer cheese and onion over any crisp flavour and people in East Anglia and London are the biggest fans of cheese and onion crisps, with 61% and 52% of people citing it as their favourite flavour. In addition, the flavour has been voted less popular in the South West, where just 33% named it as their favourite. Andrew Slamin, marketing director of Kettle Foods, commented: "It's clear that classic flavours remain popular with the British public. We've seen our own Mature Cheddar & Red Onion Kettle® Chips soar in popularity since they were launched, in fact it is our fastest growing seasoning with sales increasing by almost 50% year on year." The survey coincides with British Cheese Fortnight which is just over a week away.
