Abstract
South West producers and catering outlets are being urged to take part in next year's Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink (9-11 April).
The festival celebrates the region's finest food and drink producers & outlets, giving them the chance to sell their wares over three days in a market-like environment within the city's 1,000 year old Exeter Castle and surrounding Northernhay Gardens.
Attracting visitors from across the region and UK, producers will have the chance to offer tastings, generate valuable sales and improve awareness of their products. In addition, the festival represents a platform to launch new products, which is the case for Matthew Chiles, partner & director of The Bath Pig (Somerset), who will be exhibiting for the first time and launching their new British made Chorizo. Chiles said: "It will be great exposure for us as a new business and will be the launch pad for our new and unique Chorizo sausage products."
Festival chairman and board director Derek Phillips added: 'The 2009 festival really was fantastic. With attendance levels up by 19%, the record breaking year proved to be an extremely prudent business decision for the exhibiting producers, with exposure to thousands of consumers over 3 days.'
Any South West food and drink businesses wishing to exhibit with either a stall or a catering concession at the Festival should download booking forms online or contact Project Manager Sandra Sullivan of PS8 to check availability www.ps-8.com/news-ps8.html / sandrasullivan@ps-8.com
